Me and Farah again...

I can’t totally remember what I did the past few weeks, but for sure I know I was busy like mad. January is over lah!!! Can you believe it?

I'm finally getting some fresh air now at work, since my war with TMS is over. TMS is this thing that handles the man-hour & OT of the whole Restaurant & Cafe department. In short, its madness, but the madness is over. Furthermore, I'm no longer working on the operations of Cafe. I'm handling admin work so that means Saturday & Sunday off. Woo hoo! Plus I don’t have to work on public holidays! YEAYYY! All thanks to my manager Iskandar for giving me the opportunity. I hope I won’t let him down.

Had a good show last Saturday. I had a small soft re-launch at Earshot and a lot of friends came down. Friends that I thought won’t buy my CD, bought it. Friends that I thought will buy, don’t even bother to look at the CD. Oh well, minus point then. I sold more than the previous CD I had, but I still have a lot more to sell and I hope I have more shows to help me promote my CD.

Niwae I did 14 songs altogether at the show. I'm in love with some of my songs actually, especially Fymps, Saturday and Aku Masih. Haha! Its like a brand new me. The whole time when I was performing Shereen was paying attention to me and the lyrics, I got scared that she might not like the new songs, but she loved it. The show ended pretty early and then we head Al-Majlis. Oh btw, I will be performing at Al-Majlis soon, will update more soon.

FYMPS is out, and if you like to purchase a copy of it, please email me at fazlinasser@gmail.com. Its will be available at Earshot Cafe later this week and hopefully at HMV by end of this month. Please support my album, because I need the money to straighten my teeth. Peace! :D

The one with the treasure...

I am featured on the Noise Singapore blog. I dont know why, but I look really good in the picture. Haha! One of the best photos I've ever taken, thanks to Shino. It was used in so many articles and even on a huge poster last year near Tangs. And everytime someone asked for my photos, I'll email them a few but they would still pick this one out. Hehe! Well, if anyone saw the Berita Harian article about my show last December, you would probably laugh at me. That was an old picture ok, back in 2003 when members of Triple Noize were all thin. Niwae here's the blog about my involvement with Noise Apprenticeship Programme, and do add it to your favourites if you want to know more about Noise Singapore. http://noisesingapore.spaces.live.com

I watched National Treasure today. I really love the puzzles and I bet some of you know how much I love history. Of course most of them in this movie are fictional, but somehow I do think the US President keeps a journal, maybe not in a book. He could be using Blogger or Multiply. Haha! Diane Kruger looks older, miss the way she looked in Wicker Park. She was hot then. And what is wrong with Nicholas Cage's hair?! Niwae the plot is good, story and puzzles kept me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to go to the toilet but somehow it was a 'dumb dumb' movie. Smart yet boring at times. And to treasure hunt and not get the treasure, not so fun. Still the movie gives that popcorn fun, lots of action and generic sense of excitement.

1 movie to look forward to...

Isn't the robot adorable?! Waaaaaallllllllllllllllllll E! :D

The one with cross-post...

I tried the Multiply cross-post yesterday, because I wanted to blog on Blogger and Multiply at the same time, but Multiply is so not user-friendly. There was this page where I was asked to import my entries from Blogger but I cant uncheck all the entries. I had to do it one by one, and there were like entries since 2004. Then i accidently hit enter and all were transfered. So embarrassing. I'm so sorry to those who receive 700+ junk mails because of me, it was totally unintentional.

Niwae i've set up a new multiply account, hehe, well i like the features cause its like everything in one, blog, videos, photos, etc. So here's my new account, www.fymps.multiply.com. If you have one, wish to be my friend and receive updates, do add me up.

Last night, Xstatix performed at Home Club, but I finished work too late to catch them. Wanted to stay home and save money, but I ended up meeting the boys there. One thing I hate about the boys is that none of them can decide where to go. Everybody will wait for me to say something. Best part is they will agree, but there will be a few who dont and have their own opinions. But still they will go with the majority who will go with me. I hate it because I dont want everyone to keep following what I say sometimes. And I usually know what I want, thats the frustrating part. Well, we ended up eating McDonalds at 3.30am yesterday. Kental kan! Haha!

I had a show earlier today at OnePeople.SG for as anti-smoking campaign. Not the usual crowd I would perform for, but I had fun. I sang Fymps with a little remix of Ali Setan's soundtrack and Aku Masih. Me and Raudha talked about it and we concluded that there are shows where the crowd is small, payment is big. Some shows where the crowd is big, no payment. I always believe that my day will come, big crowd and big payment. Someday... Su told me I appeared in Suria's news today for about 2 seconds. Yeay!!

Next show is on the 26th January. More updates soon. :)

The one with soul...

I went to De La Soul's concert yesterday and it was a blast. They were so hyped up and they even recreated some of the beats to make it sound more tight. The energy they had on stage was crazy and I wish someday the local rappers here in SG could do that. De La Soul got love for hiphop. If you're wondering who these guys are, they are Grammy award winning rap group from New York City and they are pioneers of hip hop music since the 1980s. The first time I got to know about them was through Phat B in 2001, and these were the first few songs I heard from them. Maybe they might ring the bell in you. Enjoy!

I have a show this Sunday, 2pm at OnePeople.SG, located near Braddell MRT. If you're free and around the area, do drop by.

For those who wants to get a copy of my new album, I'm doing a show at Earshot Cafe, The Arts House this coming 26th January, Saturday 6.00pm sharp. My album, Fymps, consist of 20 songs including smash hits (hehe!) like Same Woman Again, Papa's Got A New Wife, Its Still Hiphop and the lastest single Fymps, will be on sale for $10 only. If you wanna hear a preview of what's in the album, then come down on the show. Its FREE admission!!! Space is limited, so do come early.

To all who pre-ordered, I have not forgotten about all of you. You will still get the album first. Fymps will be on its way to your house real soon. I sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience. And remember, FYMPS! FYMPS! FYMPS!!! Peace!

The ones in green...

I had a 98.7fm radio interview with Desiree today. It was more fun then the last time I came there. Maybe because I brought Shino along, because when I said something funny, he would smile or laugh and that would automatically make Desiree do the same too. Now she knows I am funny. Haha! But I seriously admire how all DJs speak English fluently. I keep looking at Desiree's mouth all the time, not because I was thinking of kissing her juicy lips. It was how her tongue and lips synchronized very well when she talking and not forgetting her straight teeth. I know I sound freaky, but seriously, she's good.

Niwae Desiree wanted an impromptu rap towards the end of the segment, and she gave me 5 words to rhyme with. That was pretty fun actually. The interview will be on air this Friday around 12-2pm. :)

After that, we went to check out this new venue for a new event/series I might come up with this year. The venue was really nice, only the seats are annoying. But the lady whom I liaised with told me that the seat could be taken out. Woo hoo! So if everything goes smoothly, the show might be happening and of course I will be the first few who will try the venue. Hehe!

Went to Cathay to watch 'I Am Legend' later in the evening. Yeah, yeah, I'm a little slow, but hey, I was very busy ok. I seriously love the story and plot. Will Smith is the shizzie my nizzie in this moviezie. I swear I was sleepy when I entered the cinema, but as soon as the screen reads "Three Years Later", I was on my seat squirming and sometimes I even close my ears. Its damn suspenseful k, plus the shock effects are loud. I love the idea of the zombies lurking in the dark only, just like how 'Darkness Fall' worked on the tooth fairy, it worked on this movie too. And the worst part is, the zombies can fight back lah. Very good movie, well acted, well paced and definitely in my favourite list. Chey! Chey! Feeling movie reviewer. And ohh, it has an inspiring short story about Bob Marley.

The one on Front...

I just finished my video shoot for Front an hour ago. Feeling blogging on the spot. Haha! Niwae i feel like i'm less nervous now in front of cameras, but why do i still have that broken pipe voice? Haha! The video will probably air on TV 3-4 weeks from now. So if you wanna catch it, come back here for updates.

Was browsing through my camera when i found this...

Isn't she cute?! Amelia Iman, i wonder how many hearts you're gonna break in future...

The one year that went so fast...

I had a good year. Not the best though, but its all good. Musically, this is one of the most tiring, irrtating, busy and 70% productive year. Personally, I got engaged, got my bike license, bought a Gilera and the one thing i'm seriously proud of is, staying at Ikea. 2007, BS broke apart, and XS got united. 2007, I did 3 major events. First was 65 & Hope in June, which was a good start but a little bit draggy. Second was Family Affair in September, which was better but not as many audience as the first one. Release The Fymps was the last one I did, and it was almost perfect. I dont know how many more events will i do this year, but I just want to keep the scene alive. Or should i even bother?

To everyone, Happy New Year! May you find what you're really looking for in life this year. Peace! :)
